ModusDoc 8.0.x Portable Installation Guide
If you already have version 8.0 installed, you should install the program into the existing installation folder. Typically, this is the …\ModusDoc8 folder.
If you are upgrading from versions 7.x, 6.x, 5.0, or 4.x, we recommend following these steps to install the latest version:
- Install the program into the target folder ([Selected Drive (and folder)]\ModusDoc8)
- After launching the program for the first time, go to the menu: [Tools] – [Utility Functions] – [Import databases and settings from previous ModusDoc versions…]
- If a window prompts you to convert your databases to the NEW FORMAT upon startup (note: this window might not appear), simply click OK.
- If you own a registered version, activate the program with your 8.0 key via [Help] – [Activation…]
Now you can test the program and decide how you want to use it. The previous and new versions will run completely independently of each other.
